VEGETABLES IN PARTNERSHIP
We refer to our CSA as VIP we are proud of our VIP clients who have taken a giant step toward a healthier life style. VIP members have elected to make a financial investment into our production and in return they will receive the bounty of the harvest. This will assure our members FRESH, LOCAL, NATURAL, PESTICIDE FREE AND HEALTHY vegetables for themselves and their families. VIP members invest money in January (this can be broke into 3 payments). In turn, we will plow, order seeds, amend the soils, build the fences, weed, mulch, plant the vegetables and pick the harvest.
When the weekly vegetable harvest is gathered the food is distributed between the VIP members according to their purchased status ½ share or 1 full share.
The amount of vegetables distributed weekly or bi- weekly depends on the amount of harvest and the available vegetables. In season vegetables, for example, cool weather spinach, cabbage, etc; warm weather squash, green beans, etc.; hot weather
tomatoes, cantaloupe, etc.
Individual and group arrangements are made with VIP members to pick up their portions of fresh vegetables. We set a goal of 32 weeks in the membership season. Each member is advised that many elements contribute to the outcome of the harvest, including weather, germination, pollination and available water such as rainy seasons or droughts.
On our 2.9 acre farm in Waxahachie, Texas we grow, we pick and you reap the harvest. We sell ½ shares for $600 and whole shares for $850. Each clients supplies two baskets
and several ice packs to be used for transportation of produce.
EAT LOCAL, EAT HEALTHY, EAT NATURAL….HEALTHY SOIL, HEALTHY VEGETABLES, AND HEALTHY PEOPLE.
