Another fun aspect of gardening is unexpected surprises. Being an organic gardener I am always excited to find slippery frogs, shy toads, speedy gnutes , bird nests, turtles, or maybe even a big fat juicy worm. We hope you will share some of your pleasant or possibly not so pleasant surprises with us.
The "FUN" of Gardening & The "Surprises" that make you jump!
Toad – Each morning I walk about my garden checking it out. When I looked down inside a raised bed I found this little toad camouflaged in the soil catching June Bugs. “Good job little toad, keep up the good work!” --Marilyn's Garden--

Little Ones I have found some nests this year in my garden, most of them are Cardinal's nests. It is exciting to see your gardens become a home for all things in nature. Yes, even the snakes! ---Marilyn's Garden
Shaggy – Oh, my daughter Donelle "Duchess" loves dogs! She came home and somehow talked us into adopting Shaggy from the neighborhood. She's been a good dog, she'll go wherever I am working and watch. I'm just thankful she stays OUT of the beds! --Marilyn's Garden--
