Fresh off their Grandview farm, Jerry and Tara Pommer are preparing goat’s milk soap. These homesteaders left the city and bought an acreage South of Dallas. Their farm employs chickens, goats, bees, ducks and rabbits. What is all the cackling about? Well… “The girls”, that would be Tara’s flock of 35 free range laying hens that are cranking out beautiful brown eggs and preparing for their Farmer’s Market Debut. There is nothing like the flavor of fresh farm eggs: come May 28th they will be available at the Waxahachie Downtown Farmer’s Market.
Now about the news from the barn, well…the goats have it! Soap from the goat’s milk, it is gentle and smooth and the garden’s bounty of fresh herbs, fruits and fragrances emulsified with the goat’s milk which allows Tara to create a large variety of choice soaps. Great for gifts and great for you available soon at Waxahachie Downtown Farmer’s Market. Contact Tara – tlshank@gmail.com
